3. Indonesian Cosmetics Definition
Cosmetics are substances or products that come into contact with the external organs of the human body, such as the skin, hair system, fingernails (toes), lips and external genitals, or teeth and mucous membranes in the mouth, for the main purpose of cleaning, aromatizing (giving off fragrance), improving appearance, improving body odor, or protecting or maintaining them in good condition.

Q:How long is the registration period for cosmetics in Indonesia?
A:Three years.
Q:Is it possible to renew the validity period of cosmetic registration in Indonesia? How to operate?
A:Agreed. The requirements for filing updates are that product data has not changed and that the formulation still meets safety requirements and complies with applicable regulations.
File renewals 30 days prior to the expiration of the filing number through the filing renewal feature (same filing number). If the filing number expires less than 30 days before, the filing cannot be renewed. The enterprise may apply for a new record (record number change). The filing update fee is the same as the filing fee for new products.
Q:Can registered cosmetics be re-registered by other enterprises?
A:You can't. A cosmetic name can only be declared by one company.
Q:What is DIP?
A:DIP File is the Indonesian expression of PIF (Product Information File).
